General Description:
Exercise control (excon) assembly contains the smodim tracking, analysis and recording (smotar) display software which is the command and control element of the training simulation system; smotar displays player and weapon event data that is transmitted and collected from smodim-equipped players; smodim transmits information to excon for evaluation; all player information is visually displayed; excon consists of input/output control station; provides gps correction, command net recording, and a network control unit for telemetry network connections; each input/output is a self-contained unit mounted in a ruggedized container that houses the central processing unit, power supply, network hub, and network control unit and flat panel displays; operates from a land rover, tent, building; provides capability to connect additional computers that are used as workstations
