General Description:
The fiber optic transceiver shall be designed to be compatable with the distance end fiber optic modem. The modem shall be a stand-alone module, capable of transmitting and receiving, an optical signal at rates up to 10 mbps, decode it and convert it to an electrical signal in ethernet v.2/ieee 802.3 format.
