Provides a means of connecting a lan segment, seperated by up to 4000 feet, to a 10mbps baseband csma/cd network complying with 1eee 802.3 standards. Interface to non-sqe lan transceiver is via aul cable interface while connection to a distant end is via fiber optic cable.
